CIA Director Leon Panetta's visit to El Paso this afternoon has been canceled.
Panetta was scheduled to tour the University of Texas at El Paso today as part of a visit set up by U.S. Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas. Reyes' office said this morning that Panetta canceled because of a family emergency. No other details were released.
Reyes is the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He is currently running for re-election against Republican Tim Besco, Libertarian Bill Collins and write-in candidate Tim Collins.
