Rachel Maddow Booted From Christine O'Donnell's Delaware HQ

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow and her show's producers were ejected from Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell's headquarters today with an "angry guy" insisting they were not welcome back.

Maddow tweeted earlier about the kerfuffle, sure to be a part of her show tonight:

***** Ejected from O'Donnell HQ. Staffer insulted producers Bill & Laura then angry man came outside and told us to leave and not come back.

This afternoon Maddow told TPM in a statement that she spoke with O'Donnell's staffers "multiple times about us being here today and wanting to speak with someone -- anyone, even a volunteer -- from the campaign."

the guy who sent out the severely racist emails, which you may have heard about, and the really obscene sexist porn emails, which you probably haven't heard about since sexism just does not rate a word in most media.

(I'm ranting about our local news, which reported and showed one of the racist gifs from his email, but never mentioned a word about the bestiality and other porn material. Well at least they reported something people need to know about the scumbag. But the same channel, next night, reported that Cuomo was engaging in attack ads. The Cuomo ad informs voters of the fact that Paladino got his millions by skimming taxpayer money for a jobs program to enrich himself, and other scummy deals that I can't remember right now.

Goddammit, an ad that reports facts is NOT an ATTACK ad. Meanwhile, the fucking teabagger's teabaggy pal Tom Reed is running for Congress and running ATTACK ads that are BLATANT lies about Obama, Pelosi, jobs, taxes, etc. etc....but not a word about THOSE attack ads.)

And, yes, Rachael may have expressed her desire to speak with "anyone, even a volunteer," but she doesn't claim anyone responded, "Sure, c'mon down. We'll hook you up." Rather, she claims they were there only to check on the status of the request, which, sorry, I very much doubt. (Do producers always waste money and scads of time flying all over the country when a request for an interview gets zero response and the candidate has already said she won't deal with national media?)

No one should have been rude or insulting to anyone, of course. But that's about it.

I enjoy and admire Rachael greatly, but this is a stunt.

She went to Delaware to interview her opponent at one of his appearances and wanted to give her equal time.
She is not only hiding from the national press but the local press as well, as was pointed out on Rachaels' show last night by some of that local press. O'Donnell can't be found because she won't answer the tough questions.
Producers will go where they have to to get at the truth and ratings. Rachael is being exposed at the same time she only went about 150 miles from NY. She has been to Afaganastan, Cal New Orleans etc.
They were rude because they are afraid she may be back and wanted to kill that possibility.
This was to prove there is no substance to O'Donnell. It wasn't an ambush ala O'Reilly, Rachael came with a list of questions and no cameras.

By the way, did it occur to anyone in Tricky Chrissy's campaign that if she's going on TV to say "I am not a Witch" that dressing up to look like Elvira is not a real keen thing to put in the commercial?
