Trial begins Tuesday for former Blackwater contractors

NORFOLK -- Jury selection is set to begin Tuesday for two former Blackwater contractors charged in the shooting deaths of two Afghans in 2008.

Chris Drotleff of Virginia Beach and Justin Cannon of Corpus Christi, Texas have stated they were justified in firing on a car that caused an accident in front of their vehicle at a Kabul intersection, then sped toward them.

The two will be tried together on second-degree murder, attempted murder and weapons charges, said Peter Carr, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's office.

Friends of both men have created Facebook pages to support them while they're in custody and during the trial.
