Argentine court reopens (Francisco) Franco probe
Source: BBC News

An Argentine court has reopened an investigation into crimes against humanity in Spain during the rule of Gen Francisco Franco.

The appeals court overturned a previous ruling that blocked a suit brought by Argentine relatives of two Spaniards killed under Franco.

It said they had a right to know if the case was being investigated.

Crimes committed under Franco and during the 1936-39 civil war are covered by an amnesty law in Spain.

Ironically the best way to bring justice to these fascists assholes may be via cross atlantic law suits.

Some Spaniards who lost members of their family in Argentina during the dictatorship managed to bring lawsuits against members of the Argentinean junta. And now Argentineans who lost ancestors in Spain to the fascist regime of Franco are following suit.

Both Argentina and Spain approached their transitions with a "blank page" approach, which may have been the best way to ensure a relatively peaceful way to foment democracy. But now that both countries have functioning well rooted democracies it is time to make these fascist pay.

Maybe a similar approach can be used to sue Bush et al for damages? Probably won't send them to jail, but it may hurt them where it hurts them most: their pockets. Without money, the whole Bush clan becomes powerless and irrelevant.

5. Good luck, best wishes to this excellent Argentinian government. This is exactly the right thing
to do. If the Spanish government wiggles out again, a new plan needs to be created to pursue the same objective.

The Fascist war on humanity MUST be prosecuted, one way or another, in the best interests of the human race.

Thank you, alp227.
