(Michigan) Republicans file suit to keep 'Tea Party' group off ballot
Source: Associated Press

Tea party activists and Republicans are filing suit to try and keep a group calling itself "The Tea Party" off Michigan's November ballot.

The suit filed Tuesday with the Michigan Court of Appeals says the organization didn't follow state laws on conventions and candidate nominations.

Republicans say "The Tea Party" group trying to make the ballot is a fake aimed at hurting them by drawing away votes from legitimate GOP candidates.

"The Tea Party" isn't certified for the ballot. The group is expected to sue asking to be placed on the ballot.

2. The Two Party players
work harder at keeping America limited to two Parties, than America as prosperous, thriving and well governed. Both Ds and Rs want all the spoils and they collude to make sure that they alone get to share it.

6. I don't include either "we" in general or "me" specifically with
DLC or DNC elitists - I vote my own interests and Wall Street is not in my interests as it is in the interests of the DLC.

8. Food Safety Law is one big example of collusion
There is no reason that the Democrats and Harry Reid did not bring this law to the floor for a vote except for one....big business doesn't want it and many in both Parties are paid off.

If the bill was voted on then Senators (D/R) who voted against it would be on record. Instead Senators would prefer it not be voted upon and we the people are screwed.

9. hahaha excellent
Repubs: "Whoa whoa... ok thes tea party thing is cute but uh... you don't get to have office or power or anything."
Taebaggers: "But we're a political movement! Shouldn't we have candidates?"
Repubs: "Correction, you are a political tool... and we're done with you for now, shut up, go home."

11. Tea-Party is to republicans...
as Green Party was to Democrats.

I hope some Democrats with deep pockets fund the tea-party candidates when it will serve to hand the election to the Democratic candidate. It is wrong, but let the republicans reap what they have sowed.
