Iraqis are suspicious of the new Iraqi policemen because they worked under Saddam's toppled Baath Party, which ruled with an iron fist for decades. snip
After Iraqi police with AK-47 assault rifles and U.S. forces stormed the Baghdad house, they took away three men in handcuffs.
"These Iraqi police they came to the home and stole our money and they beat my sister. They said they were Saddam's men," one of the arrested men, Mohammad Moussa, told Reuters before he was whisked away by police. snip
"These police are with Saddam. The police are the ones that attacked the home," said an Iraqi man watching the gunfire. "In the old days of Saddam the police were rough and these are the same type of people."
