Pelosi To Call Back House For Key Vote On Jobs Bill
Source: Talking Points Memo

It's official. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi broke the news on Twitter this afternoon, announcing officially what's been rumored for hours: The House will return from recess briefly next week to pass state aid legislation.

"I will be calling the House back into session early next week to save teachers' jobs and help seniors & children," Pelosi Tweeted.

The legislation, expected to soon pass the Senate, will prevent teacher layoffs across the country, and help states cover their Medicaid costs.

1. Dear Nancy and Harry. Keep both houses in session. 24/7. Make them Really filibuster.
And send Representative Weiner and Senator Frank out to yell at them at least twice a day.

Love,
onehandle.

6. I mean on everything.
When anything comes up for a vote, nobody leaves.

Talk then vote. If you 'can't' have a vote, keep them talking.

Do this until November.

4. No education funding, no defense funding
Every education funding bill that gets voted down should be accompanied with a war funding bill that gets decreased by the same amount. The defense budget is not going to matter in 20 years anyway. None of our uneducated children want to join the military. I see it happening now. Kids are dropping out of school at an alarming pace. They are not the kind of kids who are eager to sign up to defend the country. They do not see the benefit of military service.
