GOP puzzled as Michael Steele courts diplomats

The Republican National Committee is trying to set up meetings between Chairman Michael Steele and foreign ambassadors to the United States,
according to an email obtained by POLITICO – an effort that has puzzled diplomats as well as fellow Republicans.

An RNC intern sent a message late last month to at least one ambassador on behalf of Neil Alpert, a senior finance aide, with little explanation.

“As you know, the November election is just 103 days away and the Chairman would like to extend to you an invitation to sit down either at the
RNC or at your embassy to discuss the upcoming 2010 midterm elections,” wrote Christopher Kelleher, a finance department intern. “With literally
hundreds of congressional seats up for grabs in just under four months, Chairman Steel would love to have the opportunity to discuss the Party's
outlook with you.”

“They can’t give any money and they can’t vote,” said former RNC Chairman Jim Nicholson of the ambassadors. “I don’t know why you’d take time to do it.”

It is illegal for foreign nationals to contribute to American candidates or political parties.

Steele is every bit as batshit crazy as Palin, Bachmann, and Angle.

"Because that is how we roll, Baby!." I hope he stays on forever as chair of the RNC.

9. Yeah, but Kerry had the audacity to speak French
I doubt that Steele is overburdened by education.

6. as well he should
Once on the ground, FEC filings suggest, Steele travels in style. A February RNC trip to California, for example, included a $9,099 stop at the
Beverly Hills Hotel, $6,596 dropped at the nearby Four Seasons, and $1,620.71 spent at Voyeur
West Hollywood, a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex.

5. The Democrats should go after the GOP for "conducting foreign policy" or whatever the BS they
threw at John Kerry and other Dems in the past.

But they won't.

7. "Human beings puzzled as republicons continue their FAIL," - Human Beings
Edited on Wed Aug-04-10 08:29 AM by SpiralHawk

"Yes, it's absolutely, undeniably, 100% true. We are like totally puzzled at how Republicon Homelanders can continue to be such solid-state hypocrites, with their claims to be 'conservative' when in fact they are borrow-and-spend FAIL Freaks. And don't get us started on their wide-stance, diaper-clad, faux lesbian rentboy bathroom-kinkster, luggage-handling Family Values antics. Sheesh. Give us a frikkin break.

"Of course we are puzzled at their shameful hypocrisy and propensity for FAIL. Why do they want to drag America and Americans down to their level at the bottom of the cess pool? Totally puzzled."

corporations to finance as many campaign commercials in as many races as they can afford.

Don't know if it allows foreign based corporations to do this, but that could be tied to Steele's overtures.
