Transport Canada won’t turn the other cheek over decals
Source: Torstar

Transport Canada is not amused.

Officials with the federal ministry have banned a series of gag luggage decals that depict realistic images of suitcases stuffed with U.S. greenbacks, bags of cocaine, sex toys and even a bound and gagged flight attendant.

The stickers are intended to raise a giggle and make the bags easier to spot as they spin round and round on the luggage carousel.

But a spokesperson for Transport Minister John Baird says they’re just “not funny.”

3. And what do the plan to do about decals on luggage from outside the country?
Edited on Sat Jul-31-10 12:52 AM by TheMadMonk
Just for interest's sake, what happens after customs destroys your luggage (ie ripping out lining, breaking open handles etc.) and fails to find anything illegal?

Do they replace it for you, or do you just get an empty appology and hints that they have puhlenty of rubber gloves if you feel you must raise a fuss?

edited to add: I notice that the flight attendant is remarkably well preseved. What era is that uniform? 70s, early 80s?

5. I think the flight attendant is alive.
The uniform is a bit old though. The new ones have money collectors for the fees they charge...
