Democrat Tarryl Clark, who is running to unseat Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann to capture Minnesota's 6th district House seat, is raising loads of cash for her campaign to oust the Tea Party darling from congress in November.

During the second quarter of this year, Clark took in $910,000, bringing her fundraising total for the entire campaign beyond the $2 million mark.

"We've built an unprecedented grassroots campaign that now includes over 24,000 individual donors," said Clark campaign manager Zach Rodvold, the Minnesota Post reports. "They know that Tarryl Clark will stand up for their interests, not the special interests, and they know what's at stake in this election. That's why they've helped us build a campaign that is positioned to win in November."

If you read through the article, you will see that Bachmann has raised much more. They are going to spend 6 to 7 million on a single congressional seat. What an example for public funding of elections. How many commercials will be bought, radio and TV?

There are some wonderful people there.

Unfortunately, there are also a LOT of greedheads, wackjobs, and clueless morans.

Sorry, but I have very little hope that they will be able to turn this seat over unless/until redistricting offers an opportunity.

4. Her district was created specifically for wackadoodles

and was gerrymandered around a bunch of wingnut churches.

However, they're not the only people who live in that district and many of the wackadoodles have noticed that Bachman is nuts, nuttier than they are, anyway.

I think Clark has the best chance of anyone in many years. Nothing is set in stone, though.

......(used to be liberal) Minnesota would ANYONE vote for someone like here that spouts some of the fucking weirdest ideas that no sane person should. I live in a "southern" state and I fully understand "backward thinking", but in some of the "northern" states I just scratch my head and wonder.
