Missiles fired from suspected drone kill 13 in Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- A missile attack on a militant hideout in North Waziristan killed at least 13 people and injured six others Saturday morning, officials in northwest Pakistan said.

A local government official and a Pakistani intelligence official said a suspected U.S. drone fired the two missiles involved in the attack.

The officials asked not to be named because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

Officials said the militant hideout was in a village near the capital of North Waziristan, one of seven districts of Pakistan's tribal region bordering Afghanistan.

in a village near the capital of North Waziristan. And that is according to a government propagandist-er-U.S. official. The article does not make clear whether or not any of those killed were indeed "militants".
