Hillary Clinton Says White House Will Sue Over Arizona Immigration Law

According to President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, the Justice Department is currently in the process of deciding whether or not to file suit over Arizona's controversial immigration law, which Mr. Obama has called "misguided" and potentially discriminatory.

According to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, however, the decision has already been made.

"President Obama has spoken out against the law because he thinks that the federal government should be determining immigration policy," she said in an interview with an Ecuadorean television station flagged by The Right Scoop. "And the Justice Department, under his direction, will be bringing a lawsuit against the act."

The Arizona law, which would go into effect in July, requires immigrants in the state to carry documents verifying their immigration status and requires police officers to question a person about his or her immigra

8. She said Justice would sue. Holder has only said they were studying it.
Immigration laws might affect foreign policy but that doesn't mean the SOS decides what lawsuits the DOJ is going to file.

9. I agree, she stepped out of bounds....
...DOJ decisions should be announced by the DOJ.

I hope she brings up the Latin countries own immigration laws when discussing foreign policy.

Whether or not we need to change the laws, our leaders should respect them, or their credibility will suffer when they ask other nations to respect our views.
