President Obama to return to Louisiana on Friday to view Gulf oil spill work
Source: Times-Picayune

A White House source said today that President Barack Obama will travel to Louisiana on Friday to to assess efforts to halt the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

No details on the visit were immediately available.

Obama came to coast on May 2, about two weeks after the April 20 BP Deepwater Horizon accident that caused the spill. BP officials are preparing to try to plug the well on Wednesday.

In recent days, the Obama administration has been criticized by some lawmakers from both parties for not ordering a greater federal role in stopping the spill.

But Thad Allen, the Coast Guard admiral overseeing the cleanup effort, said that BP has access to the equipment and expertise needed to stop the spill, and the federal government doesn't have those resources.

Below is a link to a story that the current administration and the oil and gas industry dont want known. They know exactly what caused the spill and arent about to say.

5. Keep? Keep up the inaction, is that what they mean?
There is no government boot on BP's neck, just a bunch of self serving platitudes with zero, zilch, nada action from our supposedly representative government.

9. Quit accepting $250 individual donations from people who happen to work in oil industry?
It's not money from PACs. It's engineers, managers, etc. who work for oil companies who donated a few hundred or $1000 to his campaign. Big deal.

take him diving in it. Maybe that would make some difference in how he feels about BPs responsiveness.

10. "...the federal government doesn't have those resources."
....Mr. Allen, you've hit the nail on the head and have pin-pointed the crux of our problem:

WE NEED A STATE RUN OIL COMPANY! Petro USA! This way, the federal could develop the resources and expertise and we could receive low-profit, reduced-price, green gasoline!

....and BP could go to hell....
