Delaware OnlineDelaware Attorney General Beau Biden continues his “favorable progress” after the 41-year-old suffered a mild stroke Tuesday, his office said today.
“He will continue to follow standard protocol and receive medical therapy over the coming days, as is typical for any patient recovering from an event like this,” according to a statement issued by his spokesman, Jason Miller.
Outside Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia this afternoon, his father, Vice President Joe Biden, held up a cheesesteak and yelled to reporters, "My son is doing great!"
The White House said the vice president was to return this afternoon to Washington, where he'll meet with Karl Eikenberry, the U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan, and host a dinner for Afghan President Hamid Karzai in the evening. Biden is one of the Obama administration's major voices in setting Afghanistan policy.
