Thousands Protest Against Impeachment (South Korea)
http://www.koreaherald.co.kr/SITE/data/html_dir/2004/03/22/200403220035.asp

At least 130,000 Korean citizens took to the streets in downtown Seoul and across the nation Saturday in rallies against the impeachment of President Roh Moo-hyun and the U.S. presence in Iraq.-snip-

Holding candles, protesters against the impeachment packed the 10-lane boulevard in Gwanghwamun near Seoul City Hall, chanting "Impeachment invalid!" and "Let's protect democracy."

-------snip-------------

The reason this is important is because just last week the Seoul Police declared that the protests would be deemed illegal (protests are not allowed from sunset to sunrise under Korean law, but they often turn a blind eye), and they were very vocal about that. I'm glad that the citizens of Korea were out in force.

and a picture to warm your hearts (unless you're on dial-up, in which case, I apologize)
