LAT: Libel Suit May Put Gov. (Schwarzenegger) on the Spot
Libel Suit May Put Gov. on the Spot
Alleged groping victim seeks Schwarzenegger deposition about e-mail his camp sent to media.

By Greg Krikorian, Times Staff Writer

Less than 24 hours before last October's recall election, a petite stuntwoman named Rhonda Miller stood before a row of television cameras in Los Angeles and alleged that Arnold Schwarzenegger had twice sexually assaulted her on movie sets.

But before her charges made the evening news, the campaign of Arnold Schwarzenegger had dismissed Miller's accusation and raised a claim of its own, suggesting in an e-mail that reporters should see whether Miller had a criminal record.

Now, in a libel suit that has drawn little attention since Schwarzenegger's election as governor, he faces a courtroom battle that raises new questions about his campaign's handling of sexual harassment allegations. And if Miller's attorneys have their way, Schwarzenegger will be questioned under oath about whether he played any role in releasing the e-mail.

In the suit, the 53-year-old Miller alleges that the governor and his close advisors sought to soil her reputation after she accused him of sexual harassment. That effort, she said, was highlighted by an e-mail that invited reporters to check Miller's name on an Internet site of Los Angeles Superior Court criminal records....

(Ms. Miller had no criminal record, although others with the same name did. "Even so," according to the article, "supporters of the governor immediately attacked her character on radio and television talk shows." Miller's attorneys claim that Schwarzenegger and his campaign knew Miller had no criminal record.)

4. The Whore Press will give him a pass (again...)
From the start, the Whore Press, expecially in Los Angeles has kissed Arnold's ass more than they kissed Bush's. I expect this to be buried and ignored like anything else dealing with Nazi Republicans.

3. people who aren't prepared to deal with their sordid pasts shouldn't
try to force their way into politics. unfortunately for ahhnold, big steroid-enhanced muscles and being a famous movie star may not be enough cover for this new predicament, whether or not he is doing well as gropenator of Cahhliforniah.

5. Ms. Miller was said to have multiple felony convictions and
multiple convictions for prostitution. Guess what, there is more than one "Rhonda Miller" in California (population ~35 million). The alleged victim was NOT the same person as the felon/prostitute, something that could have easily been determined by a birthdate check.

Scumbags like MSNBC's Joe Scarbourgh and a KFI radio (Clear Channel) drive-time jock used the story the day before the Recall election.

Scarborugh apologized a few weeks after the election. The radio jock may have apologized after the election also.

Repubs will do anything to "win" an election, and will never be criticized in the corporate media.

6. Arnold better hope Bush doesn't need a blocker story that week
You know, if another aide comes out and admits Bush is a treasonous liar, and there aren't any Hamas leaders driving around to blow up, the BushCo might decide to lay one of their boys on the alter. What better sacrifice than Arnold? Sure he's a Repub, but he can't become president, he's married to a Kennedy, and most importantly, he's not blue blood like the Bushes. And it would please the Dems so much they'd get all excited and forget to watch Bush's other hand.

No matter how nice you treat the hired help, they are still only hired help.

7. Sue his steroid-swollen gropenfuhrer ass to kingdom fucking come!
Of course, if he agrees to a settlement involving voluntary chemical castration, then there's no need for this to go to trial.

Refuse any offers by his defense team to have Arnold undergo a lobotomy. They know he can survive that.

8. "It's not about the sex, it's about the lying..."
And these Republicans apparently were lying about this woman.

Do we still "show" impeachments for lying about sex, or is that just for popular Democrats?
