Army to be sued for war crimes over its role in Fallujah attacks

Parents of children with birth defects say Britain knew of US chemical weapons use

Allegations that Britain was complicit in the use of chemical weapons linked to an upsurge in child deformity cases in Iraq, are being investigated by the Ministry of Defence.

The case raises serious questions about the UK's role in the American-led offensive against the city of Fallujah in the autumn of 2004 where hundreds of Iraqis died. After the battle, in which it is alleged that a range of illegal weaponry was used, evidence has emerged of large numbers of children being born with severe birth defects.

Iraqi families who believe their children's deformities are caused by the deployment of the weapons have now begun legal proceedings against the UK Government. They accuse the UK Government of breaching international law, war crimes and failing to intervene to prevent a war crime.

So i doubt much if any was used. Remember the evil apache gunship video, with all the splatter. That is caused by HE rounds, not DU. That is the typical loadout for attacking dismounts.

The white phosphorus used in Fallujah melted people. Fucking melted them. White phosphorus used on the battlefield for purposes other than illumination is a war crime. US helicopters rained that shit down on Fallujah.

Fallujah was payback for the four Blackwater guys that got lost and killed, which was the manifested outrage over the Abu Ghraib torture photos; Will you be making excuses for that, too?

still has the photos of the Fallujah dead with ID by US military on his blog. Many photos. I'm not going to link to the pics or the album, but melted is a horribly grim but apt word.

At the time that he posted them, he said "The IRC estimates that at least 60% of those killed in the assault of Fallujah are women, children and elderly."

8. WP is used to create smoke for infantry to move, you know marines

the being dead part is a side effect. Illumination flares do not have that side effect. Killing people with 105 or 155mm rounds is actually more effective than firing WP rounds at them.

Edit: Read up WP is delivered with artillery, not helicopters. At least the type I am familiar with.
