LINCOLN (AP) -- A later-term abortion provider says two abortion bills recently passed by the Nebraska Legislature are anti-woman and strengthen his commitment to fight for women's reproductive rights.

The comments from Dr. LeRoy Carhart came Wednesday, a day after Gov. Dave Heineman signed the bills into law. One of the measures bars women from having abortions after 20 weeks based on assertions fetuses feel pain.

Critics say the law is unconstitutional because court precedent sets viability, or when a fetus is able to survive outside the womb, as the standard for setting restrictions.

Just call him what he obviously is - an OB/GYN Doctor. Don't need to mention anything about late term anything.

But yep, the new NE law is definitely twisted and wrong.

4. There are a lot of abortion providers that deserve praise and thanks.

It only takes a handful couple in a state like Nebraska to be courageous and intelligent in upholding the right to reproductive freedom.
