Palin to RNC: Take me off fundraiser
Source: Politico

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has asked the Republican National Committee to remove her name from a fundraiser the committee is planning piggybacking off of the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, POLITICO has learned.

Palin’s staff has twice told the RNC to remove her name from an invitation sent to donors, obtained by POLITICO on Wednesday, showing her as an “invited” speaker to the four-day fundraiser in New Orleans, timed to coincide with the SRLC event in Louisiana.

Palin, who will appear at SRLC, “will not take part in any RNC fundraiser in New Orleans,” an aide said.

The RNC invitation touts Palin along with other SRLC speakers, including Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Fox News host Sean Hannity, Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) and former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.), as “invited speakers” for the event.

Santorum is the only speaker advertised on the invitation who is confirmed to attend the fundraiser.

2. Sarah doesn't want to go to the fundraiser in NOLA because, well,
there are all those "icky brown people" down there. We all know she's a frickin' racist teaklanner. This just proves it.

7. Maybe she will go if they tell her
she can see Cuba from there?
Then she could add it to her foreign policy resume.

It's way too sensitive and I have it set to be as dull as possible.

Sorry for the dupe post.

10. Apparently, the RNC is publicising people who haven't said they'd show.
I can't stand Palin, but she's right, here. She didn't say she'd be there, and she's confirming that she won't.

12. Wonder if any repugs will notice the money scams in these invites. Or maybe they just want to be
invited to the after party.... yuk!

Anyway, anyone see Imaginarium? Great film.

After I saw the rich ladies thrown behind the mirrors
to realize their potential, and then come out giving
away their money, I think of these events now.

Hold onto your bucks boyz and girlz.

15. ....while Rick Santorum is hungry for anything and everything he can get.
I believe he is running for President in '12. He is an ignorant, fascistic slug and he has been a Republican Senator - oh, wait that's the same thing.

He desperately wants more attention and more media coverage and ultimately, power - Palin wants easy money.

25. I wonder if there is a conflict of interest...
maybe she finally got a lawyer, you know, with a bar degree to actually inform her of the reality of, well, the law.

Perhaps now that she's the new paid talking head spokes model for faux news, she can't mix political fund raising with her new found vocation of news prostitution.

Plus like other people have said and I tend to agree with, she's in it solely for the money. since her halfwit hubby can't seem to pull his weight in helping to provide his share of the income, failin quitter, needs to make the big bucks to pay for her little "posse" of hair and make up mortar and spackle crew.
