37. Showing your ignorance
"the idiot has no shame and looks like a fucking jerk in his brand new bomber jacket"

It is customary for the host unit to provide the President an article of clothing from the unit (Flight Jacket etc). The President wears it out of respect for the unit he is visiting. President Clinton often was presented and wore a flight jacket when he visited and spoke to military aviation units.

The 101st has an army aviation regiment attached, therefore he was presented a flight jacket.

And the reporter afterwards was right about European reaction.

At least this European was highly offended when he strung out that evangelical crap about "Good vs. Evil" "Dark vs. Light" "Freedom vs. Slavery" bullshit.

Thankfully, Clark came on right after and negated every fucked up thing that slid out of flick tongue's mouth.

could be he has an "inflatable vest" on under his latest "costume." The sock in the crotch helps him swagger better and the "inflatable" keeps him upright so the hangover doesn't show. :grr: He looked like he could care less about the troops. I had to turn it off when he did his Chimp wave and turn, with his empty eyes googling the crowd.

36. happening here too--husband works in supermarket
Edited on Thu Mar-18-04 02:41 PM by Marianne
never have I heard this much hatred and contempt expressed openly toward anyone in politics--silver haired grandma in library wearing anti-Bush tee shirt--people openly and proudly carrying tote bags with anti-Bush slogans on them and ready to bring up the subject anywhere and loudly too. This is Pub territory, mainly.

My fervant hope is that he will be brought to his skinny knobby knees in complete disgrace in this election. No one should feel one bit of pity or sorrow for this pathological liar and war criminal. After he goes, someone ought to charge him with criminal activity in wartime.

He wore a military costume with a flag on the sleeve--yahoo slideshow shows troops wildly approving of him--straining to shake his hand, crowding him in adoration, and, ugh,he is holding a little baby and breathing into it's face!--the mother should disinfect that child when she gets it home and oh, first time I have seen the frump at one of these staged military affairs--helmet head and joker smiling lump o frump sitting behind her costumed dumbass.

to what is going on around her--matter of fact most of the time it is inappropriate to what is going on around her.

What on earth is she wearing here? It looks like a prison drab suit and it is hanging on her. It does not even fit. This woman is pathetic and she is being trotted out to campaign for her criminal husband. Big mistake but we will not tell them that. She looks like she could not give a damn about the way she looks or else she simply does not have a mirror. Her hair looks as though it needs a shampoo also. This is disgraceful -- what on earth is it that she is wearing? A gunney sack? Geezus--this is indeed lump o frump big time.

46. same here
I had some errands to run today, and before I left I pinned my Kerry 2004 button on my sweater. Now I wish I could have brought a box of 'em, because everywhere I went people stopped me and wanted to know where to get one. An older Republican woman stopped and spent 10 minutes venting her hatred of Bush. Totally fed up with his warmongering and coddling of the rich and corporations. This is a solidly Repuke county, so I half expected to be heckled. It was just the opposite.

I dunno, I almost don't dare to hope that the tide is turning...
