Iran opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi's car has been fired on in the northern city of Qazvin, his website reports.

Mr Karroubi, who was in the city for a religious ceremony, was in the car at the time but was not said to be hurt.

The shooting happened shortly after he left a house that had been surrounded by what the site called a well-organised group throwing stones.

Mr Karroubi was a reformist candidate in June's election, and has protested strongly against alleged voting fraud.

1. I am SHOCKED...
That either one of the "reformist" are still alive today...I hate to say it but I honestly think one or both will be killed soon. If so, I can only imagine what the reaction might be? Maybe the potential reaction to one or both of their deaths is why they are still alive?

I wish the Iranian People all the luck in the world in their struggle to break free from the Theocracy that owns them.
