Spanish Intelligence Reportedly Blames Muslims for Bombs
Spain's intelligence service is "99 percent certain" Muslim not Basque militants perpetrated the Madrid train bombings that killed 200 people, a Spanish radio station reported on Saturday.

Comment: I thought the headline was especially interesting. Of course, there are some conspiracy theorists who have suggested that some of the just under 2 billion Muslims on earth may not have been in Spain on March 11.

1. I know what you are saying, but I think that
Bush has set the stage for a religious war. I think that Muslims world wide know that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, and I think they see our war as an attack on their religion. It's not surprising that some Muslims not connected with Osama will try to get revenge.

We should have focused on the perps (Osama and his organization).

9. Try rewriting the headline substituting "Jews" or "Hindus" for Muslims

That may give you a little more perspective on what I am saying.

What if it wasn't muslim extremists and it wasn't Basque militants. Then what would be your next guess.

7. I'm not srue I believe the headlines
Spain would love to be able to blame this terrorist attack on ETA, the Spanish Basque separatists. The timing is also fortuitous: a day before the elections, and they could have pinned the blame on them and cleaned up at the voting poll.

Now instead, they are 99% certain that it was Al-Qaida operatives who did this. Apparently, there was a van close to the train station (?) with some religious muslim materials.

hmmmm? I seem to recall that outside the Boston airport, after 9/11, there was a rental car left standing outside the airport (!) with the Koran and other religious papers. Thereby making it crystal clear who did it: muslim fanatics.

Does anybody besides me think this is odd? Also, don't forget that Spain was under muslim rule for several centuries. So they would be more accepting of muslims in that country.

8. Hardly

Spain treats Moroccans, the way US treats Mexicans. My Brother-in-Law, and his wife were traveling in Spain and they were treated very badly. The people were really racist.
