Kidnapped 5-year-old Natalie rescued by police
Source: themoneytimes.com

New York, December 26 -- A Christmas that little Natalie's family will never forget as a tragedy turned into miracle. Natalie Rose Flores, a 5-year-old girl who had been kidnapped Friday, has been found by police.

The police rescued the girl after eight hours search in north Phoenix, Arizona.

"We have had our Christmas miracle," Sgt. Andy Hill said. "She is alive and well."

Kidnapping incident
Natalie was playing near a tree outside her with her two sisters, aged 7 and 9, on Friday. A man, who parked his Ford pickup truck nearby, walked over to the girls and first grabbed the 7-year-old and forcibly took picture of her. Then he pulled Natalie into his truck and fled from the area. The incident occurred at about 2:15 p.m. on Friday.

Pretty amazing this happened on Christmas. I searched for any other stories about it and didn't see any on LBN.

Another article with slightly different information:

1. Too many of these stories end unhappily.
I'm glad they found the kidnapper so quickly.

2. From the stories, the police have not yet identified him as the kidnapper.
Although it seems highly likely, it might be they've stumbled on a ring, which would be amazing.

8. This all happened just a few miles from my home.
Scary stuff. The guy was arrested and charged with kidnapping and molestation.

5. The 11-year-old from Maryland didn't survive
She was allegedly kidnapped by her aunt's former boyfriend, a registered sex offender in 2 states. Her body was found Christmas Day. Horrible tragedy.

4. I am glad that the 5 year old was found
and is hopefully ok but still sad that the 11 year old Sarah did not survive her kidnapping. http://wjz.com/local/salisbury.man.girl.2.1391214.html
This was local to me and is heartbreaking as they all are.

6. Why do we keep allowing these child molesters to walk free again?
Once they harm a child they should NEVER EVER be allowed out in society again. Ever!
One child is more than enough to know they are NOT decent human beings and are a danger to every child and society.
WHY do we allow this to continue?

9. Because
We are a nation of laws, and as of yet the laws to lock these predators away forever have not been written by the legislatures of the states.

And my theory is that it's cost prohibitive to lock molestors away for life, but it's just an opinion.

7. Bittersweet...While i am overjoyed that one has survived...
such a horrible incident...I am deeply sorrowed that another did not.

I am a non-violent individual under most circumstances; when a child is abducted or harmed however, I can show no mercy to the perpetrator. There is never any excuse or rational explanation for harming a child.

10. I wish people would not call it a "miracle"
because it is NOT. It also has nothing to do with the coincidence of it happening on the winter solstice.

Think of the thousands of other kids who never are found.

11. I was just going to post that!
It's not a miracle. It's the result of some hard work and luck. That's it.

27. The vast majority of child abductions are by relatives. Most of
the remainder are on orders by Cheney and they end up at the secret labs.

because police put spikes on the road. They were pursuing him.

21. Ridiculous. The cop was suspicious that he had the kidnapper. He called ahead for spikes
to be placed in the road. The kidnapper crashed his truck after passing over the spikes.

Seriously, your post is out of line.

18. My 11 year old granddaughter has a fear of someone coming thru an open window in her bedroom
and abducting her. She lives in a VERY safe suburb of Boston but this just kinda freaks her out and has for a while. She's a smart kid and I think it is just the thought process of an intelligent child...a "wise fear"...

22. Anyone who lives in a house with kids should have a very protective dog.
Maybe 2. Or 3. One for every room.

23. Yes, her family has a yellow Lab but sometimes they're not the best deterrent to crime.
I've read that a little yapper that won't stop yapping is best. But of course they totally adore the Lab which is female in a family with three girls...gooey lovey dovey goes on all the time...I'm guilty too when I visit, I must admit...

25. while my kid was growing up, we had a little dog who was very friendly
and I never even locked the doors. Hell, I don't even know where my house key is now. I left my house uninhabited for a month last year- unlocked. No problem.

24. forgive me for thinking the cops should have shot and killed him
i read an article in another paper that basically stated the girl had already been molested by the pervert.

I am so glad she is alive though, there are so many who do not survive such ordeals.
