Bush Ads Go Negative; Kerry Refutes Claim

By RON FOURNIER and LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writers

WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites) unleashed the first negative ads of the general election campaign Thursday, accusing Democratic rival John Kerry (news - web sites) of seeking to raise taxes by $900 billion and wanting to "delay defending America."

"John Kerry: Wrong on taxes. Wrong on defense," says an announcer in a new 30-second ad that will begin airing in battleground states.

1. OMG, 900 Billion Dollars!?! I am laughing so hard my sides hurt.
I can't wait until Letterman and Stewart rip it to shreads. Have the Busheviks taken a handful of crazy pills this morning? I can see Bush* holding one of his dogs, and saying like a bad Bond character, "900 Billion dollars". I hope all of those that dabble in photoshop get busy, this is the stupidest thing. I thought it was bad before but if this is what we have to look forward to it is going to be a good year! I can't wait to tell my friends, they are going to laugh their asses off.

Thanks for posting.

2. Kerry's response should be...
"900 billion? Why not 900 Trillion. After all, we know the President has a hard time giving the American people actual budget numbers."

4. Interesting
This is essentially the same article discussed in this thread, but they've gone back and fleshed it out with responses from the Kerry people.

5. Typical dumb-ass timing
from the so called "boy genius". Weren't they just slagging Kerry the other day for his "negative" tone? These guys just can't get their stories straight.
