Sheriff Bowles (R-TX) indicted day after election loss

Interesting...Republican Bowles lost his primary race yesterday (due to this whole scandal) and today he gets indicted.

Bowles indicted by grand jury

04:44 PM CST on Wednesday, March 10, 2004

A Dallas County grand jury indicted Dallas County Sheriff Jim Bowles Wednesday on one count of felony misapplication of fiduciary property.

Denton County Sheriff Weldon Lucas has also been indicted on two counts of felony aggravated perjury.
