Presidential daughters Malia and Sasha Obama have received H1N1 flu shots.

Malia, 11, and Sasha, 8, received the shots last week when the vaccine became available to schoolchildren in the Washington, D.C., area, said Katie McCormick Lelyveld, spokesman for first lady Michelle Obama.

The president and first lady will get H1N1 shots after they have been administered to priority groups, including children, young adults, and pregnant women, McCormick Lelyveld added.

All four Obamas have received regular flu shots.

I sure as hell want him vaccinated against this, why shouldn't I want the people he is in contact with every day as well. The vaccine doesn't give you total immunity to the flu, just increased resistance, so having those closest to you vaccinated as well gives you defense in depth against the flu.

could pass the virus onto someone changed. given the dynamic nature of the flu virus, I will pass on being injected by last year's models.

Proper diet, sleep, quality supplements are my route to fighting infections. I can't remember the last time I've had the flu (or even been sick).

people are complaining that they got special treatment to get their shots ahead of everyone else....now Fox news was spewing the fact that they wanted Obama to get them shots and show it on TV when they got them.

the line was HUGH!

i got there a half-hour early(free shot, no appointments 4-9pm), and i was about 60-70 people back.
when i got out-about 4:20, there were news choppers in the air, and the line stretched so far down the street that i couldn't even see the end of it.
