Bush Fund-Raisers Among Overnight Guests
Bush Fund-Raisers Among Overnight Guests

y SHARON THEIMER, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites ) opened the White House and Camp David to dozens of overnight guests last year, including foreign dignitaries, family friends and at least nine of his biggest campaign fund-raisers, documents show.

In all, Bush and first lady Laura Bush have invited at least 270 people to stay at the White House and at least the same number to overnight at the Camp David retreat since moving to Washington in January 2001, according to lists the White House provided The Associated Press.

Some guests spent a night in the Lincoln Bedroom, historic quarters that gained new fame in the Clinton administration amid allegations that Democrats rewarded major donors like Hollywood heavyweights Steven Spielberg and Barbra Streisand with accommodations there.

1. Hearings must be held immediately
If we needed hearings in the Clinton Administration, we should need them now.

2. Renting out the White House for cash?
What's really fun is watching them defend themselves with "Clinton did it!"

3. They couldn't have howled any louder when they accused Clinton
of letting people stay in the Lincoln Bedroom. They believed that was as low as a man could go: letting people just stay overnight in the White House.

They'd STILL be yammering about it if Monica hadn't come along.

7. They are consistently defending themselves with "But Clinton did it!"
Even when half the time they are lying about it.

For people who hated Clinton so bad, they sure do seem to love Clinton.

19. What's the big deal with the Lincoln Bedroom, anyway?
Lincoln never slept in the room. He never even slept in the bed. His wife bought it, but it was never used. The room is just a collection of Lincoln period furniture. They act like this room is a holy relic.

8. Yar but Newt put aside millions to do that from Congress,
I am sure the GOP have not done that now. This had better come out and with all those quotes from Bush. Dem are dim wits if they do not use it.

JUDICIAL WATCH PROBES SALE OF SLEEPOVERS IN LINCOLN BEDROOM AND CAMP DAVID

Nolanda Hill Testified Mrs. Clinton Was Mastermind Of Sale Of Trips On Trade Missions For Campaign Contributions In 1996

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch is well underway in commencing Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) proceedings concerning Mrs. Clinton’s apparent sale of overnight sleepovers in the Lincoln Bedroom and at Camp David in exchange for campaign contributions. This parallels the testimony of Ms. Nolanda Hill, former Ron Brown confidante and business partner, who provided sworn testimony that former Commerce Secretary Brown had admitted to her that Mrs. Clinton was the mastermind of the sale of seats on trade missions.

Yesterday, Internet “guru” Matt Drudge reported that Democratic donors stayed in the Lincoln Bedroom and at Camp David to raise money for her during the current 2000 Senatorial campaign, even when Mrs. Clinton was not in the White House, thereby calling into question her “alibi” that these sleepovers were to become “acquainted” with new friends.

11. I don't want to be around when Klayman finds out!
Oh, Klayman's not going to like this!

From the press release:
“Mrs. Clinton obviously has no respect for the office of the Presidency and the White House itself, and is willing to sell anything for a cheap buck. It’s no wonder she hasn’t tried to sell the President, who obviously himself is prone to go to the highest bidder.

Klayman, our nation's conscience (when it comes to Democrats).

22. Their reactions are hilarious!
They think that the story is a "liberal plot." They say that Clinton was renting the White House to people he didn't know, while poor little George, who has 'few friends in Washington' is just inviting over his old buddies for a playdate.

Their mindset is really bizarre. They are so deeply in denial it's astounding.

23. They are all convinced this is the work of "Dem PR firms"
And they swear that all of these people are W's friends, I didn't know he had any at least none that they want their names to be released. Instead of realizing that this is how things are done (like it or not) they assume that W couldn't possibly be wrong.

The RNC has historically run its major donor programs as "membership clubs." You join the Eagles, Team 100, etc. and are eligible to participate in a program. This will consist of several meetings a year. The president, of course, is likely to be a guest at some of these functions, which are social in nature and generally involve rather large numbers of people. Think upscale Lincoln Day dinners. However, the RNC never says, "Send us $50,000 or $100,000 for a meeting with the president." And the RNC would never dream of renting out the Lincoln Bedroom.
