Ex-FBI Translator (Sibel Edmonds) Claims Spying at DoD
Source: military.com

After seven years of forced silence, a government whistleblower is opening up on what she learned while working as a Turkish translator for the FBI in the wake of 9/11.

In sworn testimony to attorneys on Aug. 8, Sibel Edmonds described a Pentagon where key personnel helped pass defense secrets to foreign agents or provided them names of knowledgeable officials who were vulnerable to blackmail or co-option.

And firmly rooted in this espionage program in the 1990s, according to Edmonds’ deposition, were two men who, with the election of George W. Bush as president in 2000, found themselves in the Pentagon: Douglas Feith, who would head the Office of Special Plans, and Richard Perle, who would become chairman of the Defense Advisory Board.

"They were 100 percent directly involved," Edmonds told Military.com. "They were not in the Pentagon (in the late 1990s) but they had their people inside the Pentagon." One of those people, she said, was Larry Franklin, an Air Force officer assigned to the Office of Special Plans who, in 2003, passed classified information to representatives of the American Israel Public Affairs Office, or AIPAC. By then Feith was leading the OSP.

...

Perle, today a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and board member for or adviser to other think tanks, including the National Institute for Neareast Affairs and the Center for Security Policy, emphatically denied Edmonds’ claims in an interview with Military.com.

“This woman is a nutcase. Certifiable,” Perle said. “She makes wild accusations. She was fired from her job, and has been on a vendetta against … imagined demons ever since.”

Feith, in an email to Military.com, said: “What I’ve read on the Internet about Ms. Edmonds’s claims about me is wildly false and bizarre.”

14. Yes,...in a word, "treason".
At the very least, their behavior would constitute a BZILLION federal crimes. Treason still requires a couple witnesses. All the other crimes for which they SHOULD be charged merely requires evidence.

Thing is, the net of crimes involved would capture far more individuals than merely Perle, Feith and Franklin. There were MANY who agreed to play in their game, including that infamous think tank with which they affiliate and a number of high-profile corporacrats.

Key Rumsfeld Adviser Richard Perle Resigns
Thursday March 27, 2003 6:10pm

Washington (AP) - Richard Perle, a former Reagan administration Pentagon official, resigned Thursday as chairman of the Defense Policy Board that is a key advisory arm for Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld.

In a brief written statement, Rumsfeld thanked Perle for his service and made no mention of why Perle resigned. He said he had asked Perle to remain as a member of the board.

"He has been an excellent chairman and has led the Defense Policy Board during an important time in our history," Rumsfeld said. "I should add that I have known Richard Perle for many years and know him to be a man of integrity and honor."

Perle was an assistant secretary of defense during the Reagan administration. He took the advisory board chairman's post early in Rumsfeld's tenure.

Perle became embroiled in a recent controversy stemming from a New Yorker magazine article that said he had lunch in January with controversial Saudi-born businessman Adnan Khashoggi and a Saudi industrialist.

The industrialist, Harb Saleh Zuhair, was interested in investing in a venture capital firm, Trireme Partners, of which Perle is a managing partner. Nothing ever came of the lunch in Marseilles; no investment was made. But the New Yorker story, written by Seymour M. Hersh, suggested that Perle, a longtime critic of the Saudi regime, was inappropriately mixing business and politics.

Perle called the report preposterous and "monstrous."

Perle, 61, was so strongly opposed to nuclear arms control agreements with the former Soviet Union during his days in the Reagan administration that he became known as "the Prince of Darkness."

3. We knew years ago that this was SOP
there are threads posted here from several years ago. Foreign operatives have infiltrated our government and are manipulating our leaders by what ever means possible. Blackmail, extortion, death. It matters not to them what they have to do to keep people in line and accomplish their goals.

4. The article was fairer than I expected -- it actually made her sound quite credible. I wish it would
lead to a real in-depth investigation of her claims but I'm not holding my breath.

10. Exactly...but they won't because then the truth will be evident for all to see.
It's one thing to say you're innocent publicly, but I don't see Perle, et al. lawyering up to take her to court.

15. They have a life of experience and resources about how to work the system.
Now that they don't "OWN" it, I am sure they aren't being enthusiastic about challenging it.

I must say, I'd enjoy Sibel continuing to taunt these insider-dictators.

21. that's right ---if someone made accusations of treason against most of US
we'd sue their asses. But Feith and Perle won't, b/c the accusations are no doubt true 100%.

18. This again?
What, did she see a dip in her interview schedule?

We've heard it. Repeatedly. It's been investigated. Repeatedly. The whole "I'm a whistle blower telling the truth that you've never heard" thing wore out years ago.

22. Then Why Bother Doing Anything?
Then I suppose it's just time to hang it up and realize that Liberty, Freedom and Privacy are the new chimeras, fabulous beasties with no basis in reality. That Obama is merely the kinder, gentler face of the Predator power elite that feeds on all of us. That Tyranny is at hand and the governed have absolutely no say in their government. That the Economics of Scarcity are replacing the Economics of Abundance as the world's power elites ally themselves to maintain their own power and influence at the expense of everyone else. Then why bother even commenting on boards like this? All it does is provide grist for the government/corporate surveillance regime and help populate your personal dossier. If that is truly the case, our extinction can't come fast enough and Homo Sapiens will be just another evolutionary dead-end; unable to adapt out of the circumstances we have placed ourselves in. It would seem John Trudell was right when he named it "The Mining Civilization".

But what do I know? Like Trudell, In my reality, I'm Crazy.

Yes, I'd be inclined to agree.

As somebody who has worked in the field of intelligence, I would hope that you seek medical help.
