Bomb attack on Italian barracks
Source: bbc

Two people have been injured in a bomb explosion at an army barracks in Milan in northern Italy.

One of those injured was the attacker who threw the device, according to the Italian news agency, Ansa.

The other casualty was a soldier lightly hurt by glass shards after the blast, Ansa said.
...
Television channel Sky TG-24 described the bomb as "rudimentary and fairly weak".

the man is Mohamed Game, 35 years old, from Libia. he lost his hand in the action. he tried to enter the barracks and was blocked, then he made the rudimentary bomb blow.
this is from an italian paper.

3. not likely
The "Brigate rosse," besides being pretty much self-declared in retirement, were ruthless and well organized when
they did their thing. If they had been involved in something like this, in all likelihood there would have been
more and severe casualties, and the explosive device would have been anything but primitive.
