AG Holder: NYC Terror Plot "Very Serious"
Source: CBS News

In New York Tuesday, security was noticeably tight as world leaders gathered at the United Nations and the investigation continued into what officials believe was a plot to attack the city.

America's top law enforcement officer believes that threat was very serious, as CBS News chief investigative correspondent Armen Keteyian reports.

As police and FBI worked to unravel a possible terror plot, CBS News has learned that the hunt is on to see if terrorists have stored a cache of explosives somewhere in New York City. In an exclusive interview with "60 Minutes", Attorney General Eric Holder told correspondent Steve Kroft just how urgent the threat was.

"I think we've disrupted that which they've planned and it's not totally clear to us at this point what it is they had in mind, though I think it is clear that something very serious and something very organized was under way," Holder said.

2. I wish they'd just do their damn jobs and stop taking notes from BushCo's "1984 Handbook."

The BEST security is "quiet" and does it job UNDER THE RADAR.

3. I absolutely would not want civilians on the look out for explosives
we should be blind to everything going on around us and hire more people to think for us :sarcasm: We have amber alerts to get people' attention and we don't just trust a missing child to the professionals.

4. Nope! When it comes to "cells" the average American is NOT the first eyes and ears.

I wouldn't be surprised it these men were sent up on trumped up charges because THIS Administration has to placate us "chattering classes" to be AFRAID so we send 40,000 more troops and a shit-load of $$$ over to Afghanistan.

Yes, Afghanistan, where the civilian contractor population EXCEEDS that of the military.

When the FBI and the Justice Department do their job, WE DON'T HEAR ABOUT IT.

Why? You don't wish to keep your public afraid. Well, unless you want more funding for WAR ... WAR ... WAR!

8. Unless maybe that average American...
...say, had been doing Jell-O shots with Mohammed Atta at whatever strip bar in Florida he was hanging out at. But I digress!

9. You do digress. Remember the FBI agent who wanted to "check out" the computer of
what would have been the 20th hijacker? OR all those "WARNINGS" from other Intelligence agencies within Israel and Russia? OR the August 6th PDB OR the FBI informant who lived with 2 of the hijackers who ALLEGEDLY "carried 9/11 off"?

NO, when your Intelligence and Law Enforcement Services are working well and you wish to keep the public safe, YOU DON'T ANNOUNCE MUCH.

The Average American is turning in their Italian and Indian neighbors who they MISTAKE as "A-rab looking" as well as SPYING on these poor families whose only sin is having extra melanin in their skin tone.

These NOTICES should be low-key and passed through OFFICIAL channels. There's absolutely no reason to stir-up the masses UNLESS you wish to have them "extra-compliant."

14. If we get attacked again, you'll be singing a different tune. Everyone will.
Then it will be ... why didn't they notify people? Why didn't they stop xxxx?

Let the authorities do their jobs and stop condensing everything to fit your petty "propaganda" narrative.

Or order the damn evil judge to dismiss the case or be impeached.
