Siena Poll Not Encouraging For Paterson Or Giuliani (NY Gov)
Source: NY Daily News

Today's Siena poll contains more bad news for Gov. David Paterson, but also finds there isn't much support among New Yorkers for the return of Rudy Giuliani.

More than six in 10 voters say Paterson isn't effectively addressing the state's problems, although 73 percent believe his heart's in the right place. Sixty-one percent of those polled believe the governor lacks the leadership skills necessary to be governor.

Paterson's favorable/unfavorable rating is 29-59, down from 32-55 last month. His job performance rating is 18 percent positive, 80 percent negative, down from 23-76.

...snip...

But nearly half of New York voters said they would prefer it if Giuliani takes a pass on the 2010 race altogether and not run for either governor or the US Senate - a possibility floated recently by unnamed GOP officials and shot down by Giuliani aide Tony Carbonetti.

2. Hopefully Tom Suozzi will run
And Jay Jacobs is now the state chair, so it makes it more likely.

6. New Yorkers seem to want Cuomo. If I lived in NY, I probably would, too.

Will he challenge Patterson, if Patterson decides to run, though?

I hope so.

Sorry to see so many people blame Patterson's lack of effectiveness on his blindness, though.

8. Patterson
As far as I am concerned he is a jerk for not naming Caroline to Hilary's seat... she would have been a great senator... too bad... hope he doesn't run...he would lose in a primary against Cuomo ...
