2. He's been saying this for 6 months now
and without ambiguity. Its like the Hillary thing, the media just can't let go of these talking points cause they have nothing else to talk about.

4. The media? How about the DU? People will blow this off just as
they've been blowing off his many, many other statements saying the exact same thing.

7. Richardson hasn't said no yet
He says he isn't interested and wants to be governor of New Mexico, blah, blah, blah.

But, has he actually said that if offered he would say no? I haven't heard him deny it like that. As Evan Bayh said when he was asked about being VP, it isn't the type of thing you say no to.

And, why the hell is Bill Richardson goin on Face the Nation if he doesn't want to be VP? Richardson keeps on going on TV to say that he isn't really interested in being the vice presidential nominee. That alone makes me think that he is really campaigning for it.

9. Well, here's another story
Here they say that Richardson didn't rule it out. When he was asked if he would turn down the job of VP, he said he was happy where he is. That DOES NOT MEAN HE WON'T RUN!!!! Why wouldn't he just say he would turn it down? Because HE WON'T TURN IT DOWN!!!!!

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/ap/20040307/ap_on_el_pr/kerry_veeps

WASHINGTON - Three top Democrats, all talked about as possible running mates for presumptive presidential nominee John Kerry (news - web sites), on Sunday suggested a lack of interest in being vice president — but none ruled it out.

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson could create a stir as the first Hispanic on a major party ticket. But when asked whether he would turn down such an offer from Kerry, he said he was very happy in his current position.

"I love being governor of New Mexico. My job isn't finished yet. I've only been governor for a year," said Richardson, who joined two fellow Democrats on CBS' "Face the Nation." You know, a governor is the best job in the world. And I've said this before, nobody seems to believe me ... but I am very happy in my job."

10. I thought I heard
on the radio within the past couple of weeks that Richardson had some sort of "panel" to "explore" the possibilities. Haven't heard anything beyond that. I know he campaigned for Governor with the understanding that he'd finish his term (2006). But others here bring up good points.

11. This means nothing. No one can look eager for the job, but when
a firm offer is on the table all bets are off.

12. Bill not Hillary Clinton is his best choice
NY Times article says it's legal. What a coup that would be.
