Lawmaker who was listening to Mike Duvall is removed from Ethics Committee
Source: LA Times

The lawmaker who occasionally chuckled while Assemblyman Mike Duvall (R-Yorba Linda) bragged to him of sexual conquests has been removed from his post on the Assembly Ethics Committee.

Assemblyman Jeff Miller (R-Corona) was yanked from the watchdog panel by Assembly Speaker Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles), a spokeswoman said.

Miller mostly sat quietly as Duvall talked of having sex with two women, at least one of whom may be a lobbyist, though he chuckled a couple of times. The two were videotaped at a July legislative hearing, conversing during a lull.

A spokesman for Miller said the lawmaker doesn’t recall the conversation. But Miller's office requested a copy of the tape shortly after the hearing.

...

The Ethics Committee is investigating the Duvall episode. Shannon Murphy said it was “inappropriate” for Miller to sit on the committee that is investigating a matter that involves him. Miller is being replaced on the committee by Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher (D-San Diego).

5. Rules are in place...
...to keep the trouble-makers at bay. If you really have posts of any value, then you would glady abide by the post rule. It's only those few that complain (freepers) about it since they can't post GOP inspired BS to stir the pot...

19. Well he better pretend he doesn't remember, because I think he
had a duty to report it, otherwise he violated the ethics rules, and maybe the criminal laws.
I can't imagine any sane republican defending these creeps.
