(4) US troops killed in Iraq bombings
Source: bbc

Four US soldiers have been killed in roadside bombings in Iraq, three in an attack in the north and another in Baghdad, military officials said.

Exact locations were not given as next of kin had not yet been notified.

The attack in the north of Iraq was the deadliest single incident involving the US military in five months.

At the end of June, US-led forces withdrew from Iraqi urban areas, leaving responsibility in the hands of the Iraqi police and army.

10. Ok, thought we'd moved out of the city and weren't patrolling anymore
Not that I believed it when it was reported, but I like to remind myself that my government is still fucking us.

11. I'm tired of this
It's really to the point it's treated as just another casualty. I feel really bad for the family as well his/her friends in the unit as well as the unit as a whole. It is tough to learn of something like this of someone that is close to you and then find the morale to continue mission. It just makes the deployment so much longer.
