Fire Burning In Jantzen Beach Area (Near Portland Expo Center, Oregon)

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Firefighters have been called to a commercial fire burning in the Jantzen Beach area.

An explosion has been reported near the Portland Expo Center. Detective Mary Wheat of the Portland Police Bureau said there is a fire, but it's unknown if there are any injuries.

The fire was first reported at 12:05 p.m. at North Force Avenue.

1. Update: Firefighters Called To Tank Fire Near Expo Center

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland firefighters were called to a tank explosion near the Portland Expo Center on Friday.

The explosion was first reported at 12:05 p.m. at North Force Avenue. By 12:45 p.m., the fire was recalled.

Portland fire officials said their primary concern was keeping the fire contained to the one tank that exploded.
