Officials warn of new hijacking plans - (or Bush poll numbers down)
U.S. officials said yesterday that they have learned of credible threats of possible new airline suicide hijackings by terrorists planned for the latter part of the summer.

THE INFORMATION was developed in recent interviews with one or more high-level al Qaeda captives and corroborated separately by other means, including electronic intercepts, officials said. They described the possible scenarios as similar to the hijackings of four U.S. airliners on Sept. 11, 2001, that were crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in western Pennsylvania.
“The U.S. intelligence community has received information related to al Qaeda’s continued interest in using commercial aviation here in the United States and abroad to further their cause,” said Department of Homeland Security spokesman Gordon Johndroe. “The Department of Homeland Security issued an advisory regarding this information over the weekend to the appropriate airline and security personnel.”

11. no, no, no! It's the DOTS!
Little Georgie finally found his purple crayon (it was under the sofa), and has been busily connecting dots.

Isn't he so cute with his forehead scrunched up and his tongue out, concentrating so hard to connect those dots?

"Oh look, it's an airplane! Very good Georgie! Here's a cookie. Now go and play outside while Uncle Dick terrifies the nation."

3. Fall
If they make it beginning of fall, maybe I can get in on all the fun because I'm flying on 22-Sept.-2003 .

Frankly, I'm much more worried about getting included on a no-fly list (I don't know why such a thing should happen, but stupid bad shit happens sometimes for no good reason at all).

4. You have got to be kidding me
You mean after offing the Hussein Bros we are still at risk from Al Queda. I thought we were safer now. What about those reinforced cockpit doors. What about passenger and luggage screening? You mean it has been almost 2 fucking years and these idiots can't figure out how to keep our airplanes from running into shit? Homeland Security, where is the $$$ Oh yeah, it's being spent in Iraq. And while they have notified the appropriate airline and security personnel, why not notify the appropriate passengers you lying pieces of shit.

14. Don't forget the murderous 14 year old grandson!
People are already 'not' saying this so much it's going to become a truth.

A fourth occupant, believed to be Qusay’s 14-year-old son Mustafa, apparently survived the missile strikes and shot at the entering troops before he was gunned down, officials said.

Uday, Qusay, Mustafa, 14, and a bodyguard were armed with AK-47 rifles and had barricaded themselves in on the second floor.

5. Dubya's kidding himself
Nobody's scared by the terror alerts and hijacking scares. Only the soccer mom's and other robot people even give a flying fuck. The only thing that scares normal people is the economy and losing their jobs.

15. People should be scared because DUmBYeA is creating more terrorism
than he is crushing. Instead of finding out what's really going on in the world and why people are upset Junior's answer is to kill everything that moves.

6. Tell me it isn't true...

that:
snip/

...Although security on commercial airliners is much tighter than it was two years ago, some soft areas remain. Passenger baggage is now X-rayed for explosives and other prohibited devices, but air cargo that is shipped on commercial planes is not electronically screened routinely.

Unbelievable!

12. That's amazing, I know. I don't know the figure, 50% screened? I heard
Dean say less than 5% of sea freight is screened.

8. Credibility?, What Credibility?
Information about the possible attacks began emerging last week, government sources said. It could not be learned yesterday which al Qaeda captives had provided the information, but officials said they had taken steps to verify its credibility. “It didn’t just come from one place,” an intelligence official said.
“We are continuing to investigate the credibility of the information,” Johndroe said.

17. What a crock of BS
The only reason they are "advising" these threats is so that come campaign time they pull the BS of what "we PREVENTED". These assholes know that another attack will kill them in 2004. Merely another lie to scare the people so they can act like they protected them. I don't think it will work, the sheeple are getting tired of grazing on the same grass.
