Hull calls in press, then takes a hike
4th Canada trip takes precedence

It's never a good sign when a political candidate skips his own news conference two weeks before primary day, but that's what U.S. Senate contender Blair Hull essentially did Tuesday.

Still facing questions about an ex-wife's allegations of violent behavior, the Democratic candidate was scheduled to meet Tuesday morning with reporters on Federal Plaza to publicize his fourth bus trip to Canada with senior citizens.

Hull has accused the pharmaceutical industry of gouging U.S. customers and has been been ferrying seniors to Windsor, Ontario, to buy cheaper prescription drugs. He frequently touts the trips in his campaign and features them in his TV commercials.
