Military: Peeping guardsmen made voyeur films
Source: AP

BAGHDAD - The U.S. military in Iraq said yesterday that two soldiers have been charged with filming and photographing female members of their unit while they were taking showers and then distributing the video and images.

The military said the misconduct happened during the unit's pre-deployment training at Fort Dix, N.J., in the fall of 2008.

The accused soldiers are Sgt. Gilbert Parker and Spc. Matthew Delia.

They are National Guardsmen of the 266th Military Police Company, 8th Military Police Brigade now stationed in Basra, Iraq.

3. And people wonder why
female soldiers get raped. Glad they found out about this and are doing something about it.

5. Obviously women shouldn't be allowed in the military anymore.
And what an argument against having gays in the military! Why, we can't have gay men treating straight men (as they will, gay men just can't help themselves) the way straight men treat women (as they will, straight men just can't help themselves).

Of course that's sarcasm. There's something called military discipline, and instances like this are clear violations of it, and the perps need to be punished.

And of course gays in the military should be viewed the same way. The military has a job to do, and those that compromise it by allowing their libido or homophobia or anything else to override their discipline should be court-martialed and expelled, and the rest left alone to be all that they can be and exactly who they are.

6. Is there any doubt that whether in real life or in the military . . .
women need to be protected from male behavior?
