Burris not running to keep seat: report

(Crain’s) — U.S. Sen. Roland Burris will not seek to hang onto the job to which he was appointed in a controversial move by Illinois’ embattled ex-governor.
According to a report in the Chicago Sun-Times, Mr. Burris plans to reveal his decision Friday in a press release.

Mr. Burris has only been able to raise about $20,000 toward an election campaign, the Sun-Times reports.
