(TX GOP Gov) Perry breaks collarbone in biking accident
Source: Houston Chronicle

AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry was mountain biking near his home in the hills west of Austin Tuesday evening when he broke his collar bone in an accident.

The accident caused Perry to postpone his expected tour of Galveston, Corpus Christi and South Padre Island on Wednesday to sign legislation authorizing spending for hurricane recovery and an overhaul of the Texas windstorm insurance system.

Perry’s office said he also received an abrasion to his right elbow in the 7:30 p.m. accident, which occurred near his home in the Estates Above Lost Creek. Perry Communications Director Mark Miner said there were no more details of the accident immediately available.

Perry was taken to the emergency room at Seton Medical Center in Austin for treatment. The governor was released on Tuesday night.

Posted without comment except to note that Texas governors and mountain bikes seem to be a dangerous combination, at least for the governor. Next up, a Segway?

3. Poor guy doesn't even have a mansion to live in :^(
Perry currently is living in a $9,900-a-month house that the state rented as his residence originally while the Governor’s Mansion was being remodeled. The house has become the unofficial governor’s residence due to an arson that did massive damage to the house on Colorado Street near the Capitol.

Look, I found a secret panel on the wall here by the desk, I wonder what is in side!

It is straight Bourbon whiskey. What harm can one little drink do? ...

Why, Pat heals his Republican pals all the time in the name of Jesus. You telling me that the Big J was goofing off with his fellow Republicans at the Jon Voight/Tooty Frooty Newty Love Fest and wasn't available to heal Helmet Head? I'm shocked, I tell you, just shocked!
