Vietnamese Agent Orange victims slam US
NO GOODWILL: A group representing victims of the highly toxic defoliant says the US has failed to address the consequences of using the defoliant during the war

AFP , HANOI
Saturday, Feb 28, 2004,Page 5

A group representing Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange lashed out at the US on Friday for failing to address the consequences of the use of the highly toxic defoliant during the Vietnam War.

"The Vietnamese people with their tolerant humane tradition have expressed their willingness to cooperate with the United States to resolve post-war issues," the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange said.

"Regrettably, their goodwill has not been reciprocated," the organization, which was established earlier this year under the umbrella of Vietnam's ruling Communist Party, added in a statement.

This file photo dated 22 March, 2000 shows Le Thi Nhon, left, 24, and her younger sister Le Thi Hoa, 15, both victims of Agent Orange, at their house in Vietnam.

And the beat goes on

Disgusting

2. add to these the lawsuits being filed right now against the US
in Iraq for troops firing on unarmed citizens, etc..and a new wave of soldiers who were just sent in, 18, 19 year olds firing randomly out of jitters and fear and poorly trained on video games..
Im not kidding..and history is repeating itself, the US military industrial complex does NOT care who it destroys in its quest for power, either soldiers or civilians.

3. Did you know that...
the same manufacturers of Agent Orange, Monsanto, also make rBGH(recombinant bovine growth hormone) that's in our milk? And they claim it's so safe, and don't want hormone free milk labeled?

Boy, can you say military-industrial complex, or what?

This situation with AO has always left me _so_ horrified and angry, (and that's sure an understatement.) Sometime recently, didn't a US Navy ship visit Vietnam, supposedly to show how former enemies could become friends, and the only responses *reported* from the Vietnamese were happiness, goodwill? :puke:
