Corsentino aide quits campaign (CO congressional race)

As allegations of sexual misdeeds swirled around (Republican) Pueblo Sheriff Dan Corsentino, the manager for his congressional campaign resigned Thursday.

Corsentino, a Republican, is running in a crowded field for the 3rd Congressional District seat being vacated by Rep. Scott McInnis.

Pueblo police are investigating claims by Stacee Brogden that a photographer threatened to give Corsentino photos of her exposing her buttocks unless she backed off her allegations of sexual harassment.

District Attorney Gus Sandstrom said Thursday that the inquiry has branched off into allegations that Deputy Roger Gomez received pay from the sheriff's office for working on Corsentino's campaign.

He should probably resign or at least quit the race. But it will be ever so much more fun if he doesn't. Fun for us, that is. El Paso County (Colorado Springs)dems will be watching from the sidelines.

Corsentino had to go along time ago when the first allegations came forward. As bad as Corsentino may seem, I'll take him, a RINO as opposed to Heffley or another Scotty term.
