Afghanistan: Now it's all-out war
Afghanistan: Now it's all-out war

By Syed Saleem Shahzad

KARACHI - A massive land and air military operation on either side of the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan is now under way, with the main goals of catching leading commanders of the Afghan resistance, as well as Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Mullah Omar.

The focal point of the operation at this point is the tribal areas of North and South Waziristan on the Pakistani side, and Paktia and Paktika in Afghanistan. On Sunday, Pakistani Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat confirmed that Pakistani paramilitary troops had been deployed in these tribal areas.

In the coming weeks, the operation is gradually expected to increase in intensity and size and spread to all seven of the Pakistani-administrated tribal areas, and subsequently to all major Afghan cities, including Jalalabad, Asadabad, Gardez, Khost, Zabul and Kandahar, in a bid to wipe out the Afghan resistance.

Well-placed sources stationed in South Waziristan's Wana told Asia Times Online of a large mobilization of Pakistani troops in the two agencies, adding that several villages situated on the border had been evacuated as there were fears that they would be caught in crossfire between Pakistani troops, guerrillas and US-led coalition troops on the Afghan side of the border...cont'd

1. This really isn't good...
The Afghans are known for their disdain of "outsiders" and they
will all band together (eventually) to oust any foreigners.

5. It's that one person in a hundred or so.

Who has been pushed too far--who is joining forces with others of a like mind. People who have been exiled, debased and humbled. Their relatives maimed, their children Murdered, their houses destroyed.

They are not about to be pushed around any more. In their own way they are going to get even.

God help the 19 year old private from Topeka who meets up with these people in a narrow alley.

14. a slight clarification
In general the Afghan people are (well, "were" at least) extraordinarily hospitable to "outsiders" who come as guests. They are also extraordinarily resistant to raiders or invaders. They are not like those USAns who think "foreigner" or "alien" means "subhuman." Your words might be read as suggesting that their resistance to intruders is based on xenophobia.

2. The 40 days of Lent begin tonight
The Passion splatters across America's movie screens.

Cultural war is instigated across the fruited plains.

The BFEE cranks up the carnage against the crescent Moon.

Dark times.

But this, too, shall pass.

8. It's interesting that you would make that connection
I read something on a right wing whacko site a few days ago where the writer was accusing Bush of "sending a secret message to Israel" by starting the Iraq war on the day that he did.

Apparently it had some religious significance. Unfortunately I've forgotten what it was already...

10. Purim 3/17/03 - 3/19/03
He did it during Purim. The 48 hour ultimatum he gave Sadaam (which Saddaam accepted but was little reported in the US press) coincided with the 48 hours of Purim.

Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted to destroy the Jews and had cast lots, Pur as it is called, with intent to crush and destroy them. But when the matter came before the king, he issued written orders that the wicked plot which Haman had devised against the Jews should recoil on his own head, and that he and his sons be hanged on the gallows. Therefore, these days were named Purim after the word Pur. Accordingly, because of all that was written in this letter, because of all they had seen and experienced in this matterr, the Jews resolved and undertook that they would without fail keep these two days as a yearly festival in the prescribed manner and at the appointed time. Esther 9:24-27

A lot of the other dates, to include the date he landed on the aircraft carrier quoting the verses from Isaiah which originally announced the birth of Christ but in modern times are meant to announce the birth of the Anti-Christ (or Second Coming of Christ for the millions who will be deceived and worship the Anti-Christ) also coincided with occult dates of great significance to the Illuminati.
The aircraft carrier landing was on May 1, the feast of Beltane, which is the Illuminati's second most sacred holiday.

Somewhere I have this book-marked if you want.

These guys are scary. Every ask yourself why the museums of Bagdhad were sacked and what occult artifacts they were looking for? There were some old DU threads about it. If you or anyone else book-marked any of those, let me know.

12. ewwww.....
I had no idea! Thanks for the info Tinoire. When I read about this a few days ago I thought it was one html enabled loopy guy off his meds.

I'll bookmark the info, but I don't think I need any more - I'm already skeered of "Bush and the Fundies"!

OT - It's no wonder you can't have a logical sensible discussion with these people....they're nucking futs.

13. The truth is so often stranger than fiction
And you're right, you can't have a logical sensible discussion with these people. You all it nuts? Lol, I call them downright evil & in the purest sense of the word. I don't talk about it much but I watch the religious aspects closely because it's downright fascinating. Bush is truly an EVIL man surrounded by other evil men. Urgh!

Peace

3. Nothing to see here
We will see this coming up AS SOON as we have some success in the field

For those who are not very familiar with the history of the Soviet
Invasion of Afghanistan... these offensives were common throughout
year three to seven of the war in Afghanistan... and it did not work
very well.

So we shall see.

9. From what I've been reading since October, 2001,
It has continued to be a blood bath over there. The only place that had any type of law and order is Kabul.

There has been no change there. It's just now started to get reported again to get our minds off Iraq.

I saw on the news the reports of promises of more terrorist attacks; however, we hear the people don't hate Americans no more than we hate them.

So why is everybody killing everyone else?

Because the politicians make the decisions and they don't have to be there facing Abdul in an alley somewhere waiting to slice his head off in the name of Allah.

I have never heard of such a God that so many people invoke his name in their killing and maiming.

11. Funny you use that word
That's exactly what some soldiers I know over there called it last year- a blood-bath.

But no one ever talks about Afghanistan anymore...

Mission accomplished. Ticket punched. Pipelines built. Heroin production back up & onto Iraq talking about "globalization". The New World Order marches on. Someone needs to tell these guys that there's no Promised Land at the end of all this.
