8. Why is that?
Republicans preach their holier than thou attitude and pointing out their flaws is critical in showing they are not perfect. Dems know we are not perfect and accept that people can make mistakes but try to move forward.

Pointing out Publican mistakes/flaws in light of their virtuous family values self-perception shows they are reality challenged and thus making many of their views suspect.

9. Hell, Republicans have killed people while DUI
and gotten a slap on the wrist like that guy from N. Dakota IMHO.

George W. Bush got Poppy to intervene in Texas with his cocaine/alcohol DUI and got his record expunged IMO.

It's a serious offense, she was in a State vehicle too.

A sad thing that it will be partisan spun.

she should have known better. Being one myself I know that it would likely only take one large glass of a fairly strong wine to put me over the limit. :shaking head:

I guess we can stick a fork in her. Even if she manages a decent mea culpa, Democrats can't afford to tolerate it. Too bad she didn't have a chauffer like Tommy did. It's the only way he managed to survive being drunk in office.

29. Assigning this to a dem or repub is just dumb
It has nothing to do with it. Look what they did to Ted Kennedy after his error in judgement caused that poor girl to drown when he crashed.

If someone makes an issue of this against dems then just remind them that thirty years ago our current pResident got busted too.

it's hard to find anyone sober enough to be the desig. driver.

11. He did attend the Governor's conference
I don't know if he's back in Madison yet.

This sucks.:puke:

The general reader here doesn't understand the legacy of the corruption of Tommy Thompson's Wisconsin, and how we are making progress out of all that.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but right now I really feel sick about this.

23. in much of Europe you do automatic prison time for DUI... as it should be.
If you drink, then someone else drives. It's just not that tough of a concept.

28. If she held most any office but AG, I might agree with you
But as AG, her job is to uphold the law, her job is to prosecute DUI's. As an elected law enforcement official she has just blown her credibility.

For putting the lives of her fellow citizens at stake. I don't care what party she belongs to. She would do time if I was the judge.

To say nothing of what she's just done to the Dems in Wisconsin.

I don't care how contrite she is. She has lost all credibility and needs to quit immediately if she cares at ALL about this state or our party.

I also thank the citizen that alerted law enforcement to her dangerous driving.
