Bin Laden Deputy Warns of More Attacks on the U.S.
DUBAI (Reuters) - A top al Qaeda leader warned President Bush in an audiotape broadcast Tuesday to prepare for more attacks on the United States.

In the tape aired by Al Jazeera television, Ayman al-Zawahri said: "Bush, strengthen your defenses and your security measures for the Muslim nation which sent you the legion of New York and Washington has determined to send you legion after legion seeking death and paradise."

Zawahri, Osama bin Laden's right-hand man, also appeared on Tuesday to single out France in its league of enemies, accusing Paris of displaying "Crusader hatred" toward Islam by banning Muslim headscarves from state classrooms.

By turning on France in an audiotape broadcast on Dubai-based Al Arabiya television, Zawahri -- identifiable by his voice and rhetorical style -- went beyond now familiar tirades against the United States, Britain, Gulf Arab states and other supporters of last year's U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

"France is the country of freedom which defends freedom to show the body and to be immoral and depraved. In France you're free to show yourself but not to dress modestly," he said in reference to the headscarf ban newly approved by parliament.

"This is a new sign of the Crusader hatred which Westerners harbor against Muslims while they boast of freedom, democracy and human rights," said the voice on the tape.

3. I think an attack could work against the *Bushies
Given how public opinion is turning and how transparent they have become, another attack could convince people that the * Administration has done nothing to make us more secure.

15. Thank you!
Some people should think before they go off posting a half-cocked reply. I was living in NJ, 30 miles from NYC, on 9-11. My best friend was supposed to go into NY that day, but thank the Gods, he missed his train. No way would I ever wish such a nightmare on anyone!

17. You might be right.
After not finding WMD in Iraq if al Queda stages another successful attack people may well see how the unnecessary war was a distraction and is weakening our security. The initial reaction will be to rally around the flag but then Bush could feel a backlash. The election is still more than 6 months away.

12. I think regime henchmen are still divided on a second Unity Operation

While some wax nostalgic for those 96% or so poll numbers, others wonder if it would leave bush vulnerable to charges that his war on terra is faulty.

But then on the other hand, that could work to their advantage, the 9-11 events got them the Patriot Act and the suspension, for all intents and purposes of the constitution with minimal domestic opposition.

4. Al Qaeda NEEDS Bush to win
they need a crazy extremist in the White House.

If someone more rational wins the election, the US will stop alienating every country in the world and might do things in a restrained way that actually stops terrorism and terrorist networks.

But with Bush in power, Al Qaeda has the best recruiter it could hope for.

Remember how Reagan colluded with the Ayatollah Khomeini in 1980?

Conservatives stick together, remember that.

19. And history is a gives a good outline for what might becoming next
The best way not be reactionary is to figure out what an aggressor might be trying next. This the reason REAL history is important. The track record of it should speak for its self. Just stop for a moment to check into all the contemptuous effing lies Nixon told. The press and Ford whitewashed it all after SOB resigned the office to save face for the government. You got to know these folks think they are untouchable, above the law and answerable to no one.

There are few clues that ideology of an identifying with Nixon's view of how things should be, can be found. This is one the more Humorous one's I have ran across

5. Celebrity Political Date.
During his flight training, Bush's celebrity showed in a couple of ways. Most famously, President Nixon sent a jet to pick up the young flight student for a date with his daughter Tricia. Alas, the potential political marriage and dynasty was not to be. Also, the commencement speaker at Bush's graduation ceremony was -- his dad, Congressman George Bush Sr.

5. why would terrorists risk coming to America to attack us when
they have over 100,000 American citizens on their own turf? Stay the course if there is another attack?!?!?! Don't think that's a course America wants to stay on. :eyes:

Without Diebold BUSH is toast. I honestly believe that if they get away with stealing this next election, they will regret it.

11. without politics............
our government cannot absolutely protect us, period. cannot be done, regardless of the money and all their efforts and it is an unreasonable expectation to have. yes we can be aware and diligent, but geez i wish people would get beyond the idea that we can cocoon self in a protective bubble and be totally safe. sh*t happens every second of everyday.

we say if we perfectly eat we can live forever never gettting illness, if we purify all enviroment of contaminates cancer wont bestow itself in our body, if we pad and helmet and buckle up no harm will come our way, if we sunscreen everytime out in sun, we will be protected, if allow police to become all powerful we will be protected from criminal,

ah takes me to mike moore, seeing all in suburbia chained and locked

i chose to live life not in fear........lookin at the odds, though i really dont want the nibble from the sharks, dont like swimming in ocean, my little bit of unreasoned fear
