As I have a 19-year-old cat and may be going through the same thing soon, I offer my condolences to Bush and his family on the passing of his dog.

But he's still a shitty president.

Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 07:58 PM by Jen6
Hey, I was deeply saddened too when my cat passed away in August, but I can't imagine how horrible I would feel if I were resposible for the needless deaths of over 500 American Soldiers and 22,000 Iraqi civilians. I honestly don't believe I could live with myself.:-(

Seriously, though, do you think he's ever given one moments thought to dead and injured soldiers, Iraqis and their families??

I personally have been in mourning since January 2001. Nothing could make me feel sorry for him. He deserves contempt only, never pity.

I love dogs and would never wish ill on any, no matter who they belong to. But how can I feel sorry for it's owner when he has so clearly shown that he cares for nothing and for nobody but himself.

16. To President Bush.
While I think very little of you as a President and a person, I will still offer my condolences on the loss of your dog. Having lost two dogs myself, I know that it is painful and I am sorry for your loss. I am sure that your dog was a loyal companion which must make this all the harder for you. I hope you will continue to remember the good times that you have had with your old friend.

Sincerely,

23. Some of Y'all are real suckers for propaganda
Bush does not give a fuck about the dog... he wants you to give him
your support... What a pandering asshole.

The telegraph is the british NEOCON newspaper, so the story is spun
up by editors who want to pretend that the neocons are heartfelt
lovers of live and such... all to paint over the death and destruction they neocon assholes rain down on the world.

The dog was a loyal and loving companion... of course. This did not
need saying, but the spin doctors are using it to educate the masses
on what they should project towards bush... be a loyal citizen,
let him kill your children and 1000's of iraqis in criminal war,
but geesh, he's got a heart cuz he loves his dog.

If he really loved his dog, hed keep his bloody press release
patrol on a leash and give us a break.

I'm not the least bit sorry his dog died after a long life... whereas
i'm fucking livid at every unnecessary death in his illegal war.

27. now, will bush* attend EVEN one funeral of OUR DEAD SOLDIERS

cry me a river that the dog died...bush* didn't even care much for that dog, and it showed in the photos, the dog was a prop for photos to show bush* is a human...it's probably affecting the bush* embattered and abused staff at the White House more than bush* himself...afterall, bush* golf and vacations while OUR soldiers die, refuses to attend any Military funerals to help the grieving families and has DELIBERATELY banned photos at Dover AFB, when the caskets are unloaded early every morning...

IMO, the 'bush grieving' story is nothing but a shameless trumped up propaganda spin from the White House, to cover the impact of this FRONT PAGE story in the Washington Post...complete with photos of the grieving family members, for whom bush* has no time or empathy at all...this funeral is only a few miles from the White House, and bush* did not attend or 'hug' the mother....too busy collecting MILLIONS in corporated campaign money and massively entertaining his 'donors' in the White House dinner tonight...

War Comes Home to Eastern Shore
A Grieving Town Gathers to Honor Fallen Soldier

By Susan Kinzie
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, February 22, 2004; Page A01

CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- All the cars, it seemed, were headed the same way. They drove through their hometown with its Victorian houses, ice cream parlors and American flags fluttering off the verandas.

At the crest of a hill, red brake lights winked and cars slowed and filled the driveway and nearby parking lots. Long before the 6 o'clock memorial Friday evening, hundreds of people had formed a line in front of the funeral home.

Nick Spry came home last week.

Not as Nick, the 19-year-old baseball-playing kid with the square jaw and ear-splitting grin that just about everyone in Kent County knew. He came home as Army Pvt. Bryan Nicholas Spry, a soldier in a coffin.

In Cambridge -- an hour or so from Chestertown on the Eastern Shore -- people tied yellow ribbons to storefronts, trees and mailboxes when 1st Lt. Adam G. Mooney, 28, was missing. They hung "Come home Adam" signs. Last week, Mooney's family learned that his body had been found in Iraq, that he had died in a helicopter crash.

The dog "died" vs. "was put to sleep".

When you have a CREDIBILITY GAP like George W. Bush I guess that's just routine.

A sociopath only feels sorrow for theirself, or so I've heard.

of 3,000 people, namely the "victims of September 11,2001" not to mention the "living victims" or the survivors who lived through all that, and also allow for at least a PROPER inquest.

"Dubya knew, terrorists flew, about the situation ABSOLUTELY NOTHING he did do."

On edit maybe India keeps a low profile for the thought of Bush or * made her want to :puke: up a furball.

On edit If anyone accused Bill Clinton of using Socks and Buddy for PR purposes, maybe they ought to have considered what the Shrubbery did with Spot, Barney and India.
