Bush campaign denies questioning Kerry's patriotism

They are mighty defensive! Kerry's take-no-prisoners approach is effective.

7. Oy! This man stuff
is part of the problem in the first place. Let's do a little re-thinking here on language and misogyny and sexism.

10. Ok
Like his Dad - a Wimp!

His dad was a lot of things, but a wimp he was not. The guy volunteered at the age of 17 to fight in WWII, was the youngest pilot in the Pacific theater, and was shot down, only to return to flying missions. Give the guy his due.

26. Found this in Freeperville. At&T pulls ads off Drudge for smear.
This is a spoof site that reported the apparently real news.

http://www.drudge.com/2004/20040219.htm

AT&T Wireless has pulled all advertising from the Drudge Report in response to a complaint about its sponsorship of the site.

"We care about the places our on-line ads appear, and that site doesn't reflect the values of AT&T Wireless," e-mailed Jeremy Pemble, the company's vice president of public relations.

Matt Drudge earns $1.2 million a year from advertising and his weekly radio show, selling a single banner ad for $4,400 a day, according to a September 2003 story in the Miami Herald.

The loss of an advertiser comes during a week in which Drudge has taken numerous hits for spreading the Kerry rumor while making no claim it was true -- passing it along simply because news organizations were supposedly looking into it.

5. More like "the Kangarucci Cowboy"
Bush is hopping all over the place on this one, just like his economic policy; first he's going to create over 2 million jobs in a year, and then he's not.

hop hop hop

19. But it would be more accurate to say Pigboy. "Cowboy" implies
that he's up on horseback. The putz is SCARED of horses. Couldn't POSSIBLY be a cowboy. Not now, not then, not ever.

6. Propoganda alert! They didn't mention Kerry's debate challenge
The letter they refer to is the same letter that Kerry sent to Bush* challenging him to a debate over the Viet Nam War. They mention the letter, but they say nothing about how it challenges Bush* to a debate

9. Thanks, but it's not the same debate
""We look forward to vigorous debate on the important issues of the day with the eventual Democratic nominee," a Bush campaign official told CNN. "

They don;t look forward to a debate on the Viet Nam War. They look forward to debating the Dem nominee without specifying what they will debate. When the time comes, we're going to hear "Oh, you meant THAT debate?"

16. I've read the article twice...
and for the life of me, I can't find where Kerry's Viet Nam record was attacked. But then, I don't like Kerry, I like Edwards, so I guess the "attack" must be in the eye of the beholder.

to tell you about the Republican campaign to discredit Kerry's war and anti-war heroism then you can't be paying attention.

28. You are right they are not attacking his Vietnam war record
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 07:47 PM by Mountainman
The are trying to make Kerry's service record a non winning issue.

The Bush campaign said on the radio this morning that Kerry served his nation well during Vietnam and so did Bush. That to me is like saying, so what if Kerry fought and got wounded, Bush went to the Gard where he did just as much for the nation.

They are trying to discount Kerry's service even though Bush was AWOL. There can be no honest comparison there.

18. This is good. It shows
that Kerry won't let the Rovian lies about him go unchallenged.

I don't know why so many people assume that money = victory in politics. When you challenge lies and tell the truth yourself, people know you for what you are.

22. NBC Nightly News tonight was saying there is a GOP ad that calls Kerry
'Hanoi John', because of his demonstrating against the Vietnam war after he fought and bled in it. WTF? Did anyone else see it? Then they reported that Kerry's letter was written in response to that ad ?

Not that I would be surprised if NBCGE was totaly screwed up. I don't see how John Siegenthaler sits there and reads some of that shit with a straight face. Guess he doesn't know how his daddy was a top aide to Senator Robert Kennedy. And now he is just a sad sack NBCGE mediawhore. anyway.

Has anyone seen this ad anywhere? Maybe it is in one of the primary states coming up.

If Bush is going to call Kerry names like that, I think we owe it to Bush to keep asking about his disappearing act during his abbreviated TANG enlistment at the same time.

27. Newt Gingrich called him that on one of the talk shows Sunday
It worked so well to smear Jane Fonda they thought they would give it a try for Kerry as well. Hey Newt how was that ol Vietnam war anyway? Jane Fonda spent more time there than you did. Chickenhawks love to spit, shit(whatever you call what they are doing) on the troops don't they?
