Maybe they can introduce democracy!
This one is bound to send shock waves. After all - didn't we start a war over this once before?

1. Replace "Iraq" with "the United States."
If you were a member of Iraq's government, would you be talking about annexing your neighbors when you're overwhelmed with other problems - like invading Americans?

Although I haven't read the article yet, this sounds like George Bush, Inc. working through its proxy Arab government. Wouldn't it be slick if they really could make Iraq overthrow more nations for them?!

2. Get you shit in order ?!?!?!?!?!

Was this a "Freudian slip". Was this the "mission" that the Bush Globalists have instilled in the Iraqi "governing council".

These guys don't even have THEIR shit straight. They don't even have SOVEREIGHTY over their own fucking nation. Yet they're talking about taking territory from OTHER Gulf nations.

It's pretty fucking stupid if you ask me. How much do you think the man in Iraq is really concerned with taking over Kuwait vs a job, clean water and electricity. Aren't they kinda "loosing focus" over there ?????

3. It's about the historical map
- how these nations were arbitrarily created in the first place. Remember - our reasons for attacking Iraq in Gulf War1 were entirely spurious.

6. Iraq IS arbitrary !!!!!

The very NOTION of Iraq is arbitrary. The fact is that the KURDS have NO BUSINESS being part of Iraq (or Turkey).

The truly TRADITIONAL map is that of the Persian and Ottoman empires.

What we really NEEDED to respect is that the nations of the Middle East are ALL artificial in nature. There is no inherent cohesiveness to these "so-called" nations. Only non-democratic strong men kept them together.

Iraq is about to boil over into civil war. The turks want their autonomy. But the Shiites want to RULE over the Kurds. The Arabs "settlers" in Kurdistan are now threatened as the Kurds have NEVER wanted them there. Keeping Iraq TOGETHER may be like gluing to magnets together by their negative poles.

7. The real game
Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 04:36 PM by Nicholas_J
Will be the upcoming civil war in Iran over the Azerbaijani minority in the western portion of Iran. Instability in Iraq will allow this long fomenting situation to explode.

8. Bad for Bush Co

I honestly say GOOD to people deciding to determine their own political fortunes as opposed to accepting what foreigners impose upon them.

But this will be VERY BAD for Bush Co. They want the region to have VERY Large countries so it's VERY EASY to buy off officials and install their new oil pipeline.

BTW, I think that Iran is due for civil war because it's people (who have become VERY western-esque despite Bush's implications to the contrary) want to get RID of the conservative judges who effectively rule the country by veto (hmmm... sound familiar ;-)).
