'Fight club' probed at home for disabled
Source: MSNBC/AP

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Seven employees at a state-run home for the mentally disabled have been suspended for allegedly staging a "fight club" among residents.

Corpus Christi Police Captain Tim Wilson says the fight clubs were uncovered when someone gave an off-duty police officer a cell phone containing videos of fights at the Corpus Christi State School.

Wilson says the videos show mentally disabled adult clients punching, shoving, and striking each other while the employees watch.

Wilson calls the abuse "appalling." He says police expect to file charges against several employees by the end of the week.

1. That's a stupid headline. "Fight club" makes it sound voluntary. Of course, you can't spell "CRAP"
without AP.

Sick and sad.

3. That is one of the most twisted things I have ever read.
These people are beyond help imo. This abomination is due to some very serious personality disorders, which tend to be untreatable from what I have read.

How can we trust someone to live in society when they have taken advantage of the weakest of our citizens for their sadistic PLEASURE?

Fuck these people. Throw them in a hole and toss away the key, providing they are found guilty of course.

4. Reminds me of the story of those girls
abusing the elderly with Alzheimer's a few months back.

They should all be strung up.

6. The ring leader of the club will turn out to be imaginary.
All the rest of 'em, alas, will discover they're very real indeed.

This is one sick world.
