Bush keen to see Mel's Passion
Bush keen to see Mel's Passion
From correspondents in Washington
February 21, 2004

US President George W. Bush wanted to see the controversial new Mel Gibson film The Passion of the Christ, his spokesman said today.

Asked if the president wanted to see the Crucifixion drama, opening in US theatres next Wednesday, White House press secretary Scott McClellan said: "I think he does and I think at some point he probably will."

The White House has a private theatre in which presidents can view first-run films.

Then again, he wouldn't get it. He's not bright enough to understand it.

13. Speaking of snacks
Are theatre owners going to keep their concessions open during these viewings, so patrons can load up on candy and popcorn as they watch the action? For a movie that's supposed to be a religious experience, isn't it unseemly to munch on popcorn while watching? Would these people eat popcorn in church?

10. Yup, he is very Keen
he loves killing criminals, torture and the feeling that he is in charge of ordering that killing

I would ques5tion if the serial killer ,
George did NOT want to see the extravaganza of the crucifiction as depected by actors in a movie who are following a script written by who knows who.

And the pathetic part, to me, is that people actually will beieve this is thier relgion. This movie will become a part of their legitimate religion!!

I find that really disconcerting. It seems to imply that people of religion will believe anything that appeals to their sense of the extravaganza as long as a whole lot of others verify that they too believe it!

Can we please get back to real inquiry without emotional, irrational religious convictions that are influenced by Hollywood actors bent upon making a big deal out of their inventive interpretations of the bible

Hollywood is all about creative interpretations and those who would believe Hollywood is indeed qualified to determine their faith for them are being fooled.

12. Arghhh
He'll get aroused by the 45-minute beating.

What a freak Bush is. I dislike him more and more each day. His acolytes are like the followers of "Great Leader" Kim Jong Il.

14. I'm betting
the anti-semetic press it's getting will keep him away. But then that's giving him a lot of credit for understanding something way over his head.

15. CHIMPANZEE McSHRUB "aroused by the 45-minute beating."??
Some how I doubt it. Only through his actual killing of civilian children does this MONSTER "achieve arousal" Maybe also his wife Stepford Laura, whips his bare buttocks with a whip?

19. And the headline
Edited on Sat Feb-21-04 12:05 AM by Politicub
"Bush keen to see Mel's Passion"

The use of Passion sounds like a Harlequin romance novel-esque way of saying cock. Or something like O'Reilly would have written.

That bush - wanting to get a peek at Mel's "passion"

(on edit: fixed the url)
